Uh within that report, there was also mention of uh critically low stream volume within this area of the state, particularly Grant County. So we just continue to monitor that. Uh still don't believe there's a any need or anything that warrants a burn ban at this point, but we'll continue to monitor that. >> There's no burn ban now. >> Correct. There is not. Um also, Director Hicks and I did attend 7:19 Um also, Director Hicks and I did attend a train to trainer session last week in Fort Wayne regarding traffic incident management. We'll be offering that class this Saturday uh to uh first responders and tow companies and anybody else involved with highway uh incidents. Um and lastly, we will start our uh review of our winter operations plans this week. Uh I know David White and I are planning to interact with INDOT and I'm sure all our plans together 7:53 on behalf of the commissioners. Um first of all, um our monthly report for our 911 calls and administrative calls. We had uh 24 calls from a landline. Uh last month we had 200 or 2,329 cell calls. We had 173 uh Vo calls. We had one TDD. We had 49 unknown calls 8:56 had one TDD. We had 49 unknown calls for a total of 2,624 um calls. And we had um a total call volume of um 11,081. That's both 91 and admin. Uh we had 1,081 EMS calls. Uh 689 fire calls. Uh, our police were 9,728 and 700 calls handled by dispatch for a total of 12,198 calls for service last month. Um, we 9:29 calls for service last month. Um, we currently have 17 full-time employees. Uh, we have one opening. Uh, we tested a prospective employee on Thursday. Uh, she passed uh, the test quite well. So, we called her this morning, left the voicemail and asked her to go get her urine screen so we could move her through the high-end process. Uh, we have um five part-time dispatchers and with two full-times in training and both of those are doing quite well. They've 9:59 of those are doing quite well. They've been on the job now for about 2 and 1/2 weeks, 3 weeks and uh they've both been talking on the radio already. So, that's good. >> Do you feel like you're starting to see some relief? Absolutely. Absolutely. >> Awesome. >> Absolutely. And I'll be excited to get our this this uh third one hired and then we'll be fully stamped. >> Awesome. A couple requests. Um this is $125 class plus the uh travel and hotel. I do have that money in my budget. Uh this is for access to our PCMs anywhere records management software. This just stipulates the terms and conditions to which they are allowed to access police records and for what they may use those records for. These I work with Mr. Arbor to get these um completed. And so we have anou between the Grant County Central Dispatch and the Marian City Court for probation related 13:01 City Court for probation related coordination and communications and then one between Grant County Central Dispatch and the Gas City Court for [snorts] for probation related coordinations and communications. And Mr. Harker, do you have any comments? >> No, it's been pleasure working with Mr. Hicks to uh accomplish this for our courts. So how long is this for? >> Indefinitely. >> Provided they they abide by the terms of the agreement. It's a data sharing 13:32 the agreement. It's a data sharing agreement. It can be stopped at at any time uh by central dispatch. >> Say shall remain in effect for two years unless terminated early years. years. >> Yeah, I think it's two years. Okay. Uh in Digital provides our backup 911 service uh at the state's expense to our PAP. I would like to uh get four of their phones and what they call a to-go kit. And that would allow us to answer our 911 calls no matter where we are. If we have to vacate our building, we take these phones, plug them in, set them up, 16:05 these phones, plug them in, set them up, and we can capture our uh 911 calls without having to send them to u uh Howard County. >> So, so if a natural disaster and you move central dispatch, which we do have remote kiosk, right? Computers. >> We have two and I'm working to get two more, but that'll give us >> this would be able to do the the phone transfer. >> So, so we could we could use command bus. We could go out to EMS, County Highway, anywhere we have internet access, uh we could do it. And this does 16:35 access, uh we could do it. Uh, the second thing um is with the elevator for essential dispatch. So, 20:23 the elevator for essential dispatch. So, Granite was out on Friday and they have the appliance hooked up and everything, but uh the gentleman, he was having issues with his testing equipment. So, he'll be back tomorrow. I just got an update. He was supposed to be out this morning, of course. So, he had a a family emergency, so hopefully we'll get that all up and running tomorrow and then they can get that elevator over there blessed and it'd be all good to go. >> I know. So, there is an additional cost. I don't I don't think it was anything too crazy. We did do um the courthouse a couple years ago when we got that done and that was something we had to add to it because the previous cameras, they were CCTV. And they're just asking for um current parcel and address point GIS data layers 22:59 parcel and address point GIS data layers for Grant County. And usually we just work with Schneider and they coordinate with the them and they get them what they need. Do you know? >> I don't think it's that much. Um the like I say cuz that was I don't know if 23:29 like I say cuz that was I don't know if that was sub with the assessor's office and the previous commissioners. I'm not exactly sure what the fee is. cuz I know it comes out of I think there's a GIS fund under my account. No, maybe. >> Yeah. Uh update you on a few things. Um we did get the 2026 uh community crossing submitted last week. We actually just put in for two bridges, bridge 138 and bridge 102. Uh the simple fact was United wasn't far enough along on the other bridge for design work and purchasing right away. And if we get the release in January, we only got three months to get it in contract. So we didn't really want to take a chance of 27:02 didn't really want to take a chance of not be able to be ready for the bids if we didn't bid it out. So we did get the other two bridges submitted almost uh over $850,000 that we requested out a million. So we pretty much maxed out on that. So, uh, the bridge inspection supplement was approved by the federal government. So, I did receive an email last week from INDOT on that. So, you've already took care of actions on that. So, um, I've notified United and I'll get their information to them. So, 27:34 information to them. So, information to them. So, we did get that pole moved on 100 North with the drainage board that you had request and we repaired the tile already. So that's taken care of and they were willing to move it and no problem. So we got that fixed. We installed a big culver pipe 10ft diameter on 400 north between 1,000 east and 1100 east. This was actually a bridge and the bridge did the hydraulic study on it. We was able to reduce it to a big culvert pipe. Um so we got that 28:06 a big culvert pipe. Um so we got that installed last week and that's back open for traffic. >> How many more do you think we could do like that? Uh, well, that's the bad thing I'm going to bring up is now I got one on the west side. I got to change from a small structure to a bridge. Okay. So, it's kind of >> back and forth, >> back and forth kind of thing. So, um, like I said, we did get that one and I called him today to see if he could remove it off the thing and then when we get the other one installed, we're going to have to put it back on. So, we'll basically be checking out the same 28:36 basically be checking out the same bridge mounts. Uh, while we're talking about that, I had to buy two aluminum boxes and it kind of was a thing that I had to get done out on 900 West just north of State Road 22. Uh, between there and 400 South, we have a small structure that uh came this summer and basically the sides were not safe. We've got it narrowed down to one lane with a 13 ton weight limit on it just to try to keep it open for now. Um, I had a Depo 29:06 for now. Um, I had a Depo [clears throat] come out and look at putting an aluminum box in there. Um, I went ahead and went ahead and ordered it because it's 8 weeks to build it. I got to get it in by this winter kind of thing. So, the total for that aluminum box was $136,850. Of course, that has all the design work and all the stamping and everything we need for safety. So, and then also on 1125 South and 100 West, I had the same thing kind of at that intersection. And 29:37 thing kind of at that intersection. And I put an aluminum box in there and the construction cost on it or the build box price is $108,700, but I went ahead and got them ordered and we'll just pay them out of the bridge fund budget. So, just let you know on that. So, um, we have a log jam down on 10th Street in Gas City that we're getting ready to clear out, um, with the water real low. So, not going to be too bad of a project for it. So, got that on. Um, 30:09 a project for it. So, got that on. Um, the next thing I need you gentlemen to sign is um this is for bridge 791. And these are some appraisals um with USI that are needing to buy three different parcels on this roadway for redoing that bridge in that area on 14th [snorts] Street here in Marian. Each one of the parcels is $1,000 for us to purchase it. um that'll come out of the bridge fund out of the uh bridge 791 30:40 bridge fund out of the uh bridge 791 project that we're working on. So um [snorts] basically if you guys approve that I think Shane needs to sign off on it and then the buyer will go and talk to the homeowners and make sure they're agreeable on everything. So >> how many we're talking 20 feet or >> um each one of them is different? >> Yeah. Half acre is the biggest one and one nine acre on the other two. Yeah. they kind of go what the average price is, you know, around [snorts] the area 31:10 is, you know, around [snorts] the area and everything. So, we're hoping to get those done this week and then we got a couple roads out by Bayer and that we need to go do um hopefully 32:43 and that we need to go do um hopefully depending on weather uh if we can get those done. Basically, quotes, um, and about everything I sent you last week kind of was a good start because I contacted both dealerships afterwards and kind of they've changed prices and everything else. So, the international truck chassis price that I actually received um after he called and told me that they 33:45 um after he called and told me that they added a tariff tax and everything else. Um we're looking approximately uh $149,955 and I called the Volvo dealer. um his price for Volvos uh ended up being $152,000 and $116. Um kind of got mixed emotions about um 34:15 kind of got mixed emotions about um international because I don't know if they're going to get them built before 2027. And if it goes after 2027, you have to get the new emissions. And if you if they don't get them built, you got to take them anyways or I think on the quote it said $7,000 a truck to cancel the order. So, uh, one thing I can tell you with Volvo, we've been using them since 2009. 34:45 we've been using them since 2009. We have never paid for software updates. Uh, the first year with International is free. Basically, after that, you spend almost $2 to $3,000 a year just to have software uh information to work on the trucks kind of thing. So, I'll be honest with you. And the holiday holiday lights surrounding the courthouse. The tree lighting 45:36 the courthouse. The tree lighting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November the 22nd. And the courthouse lights will remain um lit from November the 22nd through December the 31st. and the Grant County commissioners are proud to continue this partnership with the city of Marian and the walkway of lights as we celebrate the Christmas season and bring uh some holiday cheer. Uh Marian Public Library again they've been doing this for several years. will be hosting a free lunch at the library uh 55:10 hosting a free lunch at the library uh from noon to 100 p.m. for veterans. And then on Tuesday uh the 8th uh we're going to have uh offices will be closed here, but IWO will be hosting a free breakfast for veterans at Indiana Wesleyan University from 7:30 until 9. Uh immediately after that, Oakill is 55:40 Uh immediately after that, Oakill is having a ceremony uh in honor of Veterans Day uh from 9 to 11:00 at Oakill School. And that's part of their update of their veterans memorial uh that they have there at the school. And then on Wednesday uh the 12th, the South Marian Friends Church is providing a free meal for veterans 56:11 veterans veterans uh coffee house at 5308 South Harmon Street in Marian uh from 9 until 11:00. That's on Wednesday the 12th. And then on Thursday the 13th at a Friendship Baptist Church at 1921 West Pencor Avenue in Marion will be having a thank you brunch for veterans from 900 a.m. until 11:00. And then on Friday uh the 14th uh Marian 56:41 And then on Friday uh the 14th uh Marian High School JOTC will be hosting or providing a closing ceremony at American Legion Post 10 uh to close out the week's events. That's at 1700 South Pennsylvania Street and Marian. [snorts] Those are individual events. We will also be having an open house in our offices throughout the week except for the day that we're closed for the holiday. So, we've got donated [snorts] donuts and coffee in the morning, donated pizza at lunchtime. So, that'll 57:12 donated pizza at lunchtime.
