Why this exists

Americans feel less connected to their own neighborhoods than people in 22 of the 24 countries Pew surveyed — and two-thirds of us never set foot in a club or a group all year. Not because folks stopped caring about where they live. Most still say they belong here and that their neighbors would help them out.

They just don't hear about things in time. The ball game, the fish fry, the fundraiser, the market — it's all happening in Cowlitz County right now, scattered across a dozen Facebook groups, church bulletins, and flyers taped up by a register. Nobody's keeping one list anymore.

OurWeek keeps the list. Free to read, free for anyone to post in, and it lands the same day every week — in the email, on the website, on the Facebook page, and on a one-page sheet people print and hang up at work.

What sponsoring actually does

It pays for the thing to stay free. That's the whole model — no paywall, no charge to a church or a ball team to get their event listed, no fee to a family posting a yard sale.

Your name goes where people are already looking: in the weekly email, on the calendar people share into local Facebook groups, and on the printed sheet that ends up on counters and corkboards around the county.

Wide banner — about 970×250 px (≈4:1). PNG (transparent OK) or JPG, under 5 MB.

Weekly recurring charge via Stripe. Cancel any time from your billing email.
