Help wanted: OurWeek's first team member (Grant County)

Be the person who puts the paper on the counter.

OurWeek is Grant County's free weekly — local events, news, sports, and classifieds, on paper, on the web at ourweek.in/grant-county, and in a Sunday-morning email. It's written by your neighbors and free to read. Now it needs one well-connected person to help it show up everywhere in the county.

The job has two halves:

1. Get the paper out. Every week we print a one-page community calendar. You'd keep a route of 20–30 spots stocked — coffee shops, diners, waiting rooms, barbershops, the library, the Y. A couple of hours a week, on your own schedule. Every flyer carries a QR code we count, so you'll see exactly how many people your route brings in — your impact is on a dashboard, not a guess.

2. Bring local sponsors in. OurWeek runs on a handful of local sponsorships — only six slots per week, $20 to $75 each ("Events brought to you by Hometown Hardware"). You know which businesses should be in front of every household in Grant County; your job is the conversation. The sponsor page handles sign-up and payment, so you're never chasing invoices.

The pay is straight commission, and here's the exact math: you keep 50% of every sponsorship you bring in, for as long as that sponsor stays, paid monthly. All six slots together are $225 a week — sell the paper out and your half is $112.50 a week, which works out to $487.50 a month, ongoing, for keeping those relationships warm. No salary, no cap. And as OurWeek adds more towns, you will be the first in line to grow with it.

You might be right for this if you already know everybody — you're a highly networked local who can't get through the diner without three conversations. No sales experience needed; you're recommending something local businesses actually want, at a price that isn't hard to say yes to.
