The market is back on the square this Saturday, 8am to noon. This week's vendor list includes early tomatoes from the greenhouse growers, strawberries, fresh bread, and cut flowers. The library's summer reading program kicks off Tuesday at 4pm with a party on the front lawn — sign-ups, snow cones, and the first stamp in this year's reading passport. Kids who finish eight books by August 1 earn a free book of their choice and a Splash House day pass. There are separate tracks for teens and adults this year, with weekly prize drawings. Can't make the kickoff? Sign-ups stay open all month at the front desk or online.
